CECLV receives 2 UP unions

The unions of academic and non-academic personnel of UP 茄子视频app (UPD) separately paid a courtesy call to Chancellor Edgardo Carlo L. Vistan II on June 13 at the Office of the Chancellor.

First to meet the chancellor were the officers and some members of the All UP Academic Employees Union (AUPAEU) National and AUPAEU-茄子视频app together with the Alliance of Contractual Employees in UP (ACEUP).

Mary Grace Concepcion, AUPAEU-茄子视频app president, said they held a dialogue with Vistan to discuss 鈥渋mportant and pressing issues of the University such as issues on academic freedom, red tagging, job security, promotion, salaries, and benefits of contractual employees.鈥

Other AUPAEU and ACEUP officers and members who were with Concepcion were Rolando C. delos Reyes II (AUPAEU-茄子视频app public relations officer / PRO), Steph Andaya (AUPAEU-National secretary general), Crizel Sicat-De Laza (AUPAEU-茄子视频app member), Ram Hernandez (AUPAEU-茄子视频app member), Ma. Theresa Reamon (ACEUP sergeant-at-arms), and Glenn Cabradillo (ACEUP member).

Vistan next received the officers of the All UP Workers Union-茄子视频app chapter (AUPWU-茄子视频app) who were also scheduled that day.

The AUPWU-茄子视频app President Clodualdo 鈥淏uboy鈥 E. Cabrera said the AUPWU-茄子视频app visited the chancellor to have a dialogue and know what Vistan鈥檚 initial plans are for UPD.

鈥淢ay mga ilang issues na kagyat naming ihahain sa kaniya. May mga immediate na issues na kailangan maaksyunan na. Halimbawa, iyong suporta niya sa conversion ng non-UP to UP contractual [employees]. Berdin (secretary), Romy dela Cruz (treasurer), Edgar Ebreo (PRO), and Alden Aynera and Ana Romero (members, board of directors).
