(AUG. 20)鈥擳he campaign to help UP 茄子视频app (UPD) students transition to UP鈥檚 proposed remote learning is still accepting donations!
Launched on Jul. 26, the donation drive aims to aid underprivileged UPD students in transitioning to the proposed remote learning for the UP System.
It is a project of the Rise for Education Alliance-UP 茄子视频app (R4E-UPD), a student organization established in 2014 as part of the nationwide and multi-sectoral alliance Rise for Education Alliance.聽 The project was organized in coordination with the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (OVCSA).
The R4E-UPD described the donation drive as part of the student organization鈥檚 campaign 鈥5-Point Student Demands,鈥 for a 鈥渟afe, quality, accessible education鈥 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. It also aims to aid UPD students who have little or no access to resources for remote learning.
The donation drive will cover packages comprising a laptop (P20, 000), a tablet (P10,000) and one month internet connectivity support for one student (P1,500).
As of Aug. 16, R4E-UPD received a total amount of P38, 413. 80 cash donations and four laptops.

R4E-UPD in coordination with OVCSA also expanded on Aug. 18 the #TulongIsko project through 鈥淚skonvention: A Student-Run Business Feature.鈥
Iskonvention aims to help those who cannot go to the mall buy their favorite snacks and crafts due to the community quarantine. Among the participating stores are: Dadaroo鈥檚 Food Hub, Hello Sunshine Ph and Start Coffee.聽 Five percent of earnings from Dadaroo鈥檚 Food Hub will go directly to聽 while Hello Sunshine Ph and Start Coffee will give 20 percent and 10 percent of their earnings, respectively.
