The UP 茄子视频app (UPD) Office of Counseling and Guidance (OCG) said they are expecting some 2,000 UPD students and job seekers at this year鈥檚 edition of the University Job Fair (UJF), which carries the theme, Soar Ahead.
The UJF featured over 40 exhibitors from the Philippine industries of real estate, telecommunications, banking, software, food, transportation, finance, energy, and applied behavior analysis services.
Organized by the OCG for the UPD Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (OVCSA) and in partnership with the University Student Council, college councils, and student organizations UP Advertising Core (AdCore) and the UP Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants, the UJF opened on March 19 at the Student Union Building and will last until March 22.

Aside from visiting the booths and meeting company representatives, each day of the UJF also featured activities for participants like mock interviews, career counseling, and a resum茅 writing workshop.
This is the second year that the organizers received assistance from the Quezon City local government and the Department of Labor and Employment鈥揘ational Capital Region Office (DOLE鈥揘CR) in connecting with more employers and sharing guidance and best practices.
Speaking at the event opening, UPD Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Jerwin F. Agpaoa praised the OCG for their dedication in organizing the UJF. Agpaoa said the OCG has not only opened windows, but also 鈥渄oors and gates of opportunity to our students here.鈥

Meanwhile, DOLE-NCR Director Martin T. Jequinto echoed the sentiment in his message.
鈥淢ay this job fair create a path towards the fulfillment of every Iskolar ng Bayan鈥檚 dreams and aspirations. Most importantly, be of great help in nation building as they apply the knowledge and the skills that the University has taught them,鈥 Jequinto said.
The job fair鈥檚 last day will be dedicated to government agencies that provide frequently needed documents by first-time job seekers, like the National Bureau of Investigation, the Philippine Statistics Authority, and the 茄子视频app Development Mutual Fund, known as the PAG-IBIG Fund.
