The UP 茄子视频app Office of the Chancellor, through the Technical Working Group on Biodiversity Management in UP 茄子视频app (TWGBM UPD), will virtually launch the 鈥Biodiversity Management Handbook鈥 tomorrow, October 26, at 1 p.m. The event will be livestreamed on YouTube ().
The launching dubbed as 鈥淏uhay Ilang sa UPD: Launch of the 鈥楤iodiversity Management Handbook鈥欌 will feature a roundtable discussion by TWGBM UPD members on selected campus biodiversity issues and how the handbook may provide guidance in addressing them.
The TWGBM UPD is a multidisciplinary group created by former chancellor Michael L. Tan in July 2018. One of its tasks is to craft a set of policies and guidelines to help UPD administrative units in protecting the University鈥檚 biodiversity.
The handbook contains information on the environmental condition of UPD and discusses the three principles that UPD must adhere to in managing its biodiversity. Issues discussed under these principles range from university planning and habitat management to wildlife protection and waste management.
