The UP Men鈥檚 Football Team (UPMFT) opened its campaign in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 86 men鈥檚 football tournament with a 2-1 win against the University of Santo Tomas (UST) on Feb. 18 at the UP 茄子视频app (UPD) Football Field.
UST started aggressively as they scored their first goal in just 16 minutes of the game courtesy of a tap-in by Andrew Ramos.
The UPMFT, however, leveled the score through Francis Tacardon鈥檚 goal from a close range at the 60th minute of the match. Austin Basconcillo then scored on a header off a Ramil Bation III鈥檚 assist at 75th minute of the game, sealing the come-from-behind victory for the UPMFT.
The UPMFT鈥檚 next game is against the Far Eastern University on Feb. 25, 2 p.m., at the UPD Football Field.
