Team Emerald Equities of the UP 茄子视频app Cesar E.A. Virata School of Business (VSB) recently won at the CFA Institute Research Challenge Local Finals 2024 of the Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) Institute.
In a correspondence with UPDate Online, Mikhael Anjelu B. Magana said this year鈥檚 challenge was for participants to do an investment valuation of Shakey鈥檚 Pizza Asia Ventures. Magana is an assistant professor at the VSB and the team鈥檚 coach.
He also said Emerald Equities bested teams from Far Eastern University, Ateneo de Manila University, University of San Carlos, and the University of Santo Tomas in the local finals. They will now be the Philippines鈥 representative to the regional finals of the competition.
The team is composed of fourth year VSB students Pierce Patek Nielsen C. Dee, Gabriel M. Ditching, Alexandra S. Pates, Katrina Monique S. Santiago, and Aleisha Hailey O. Uy.
According to the CFA Institute website, the CFA Institute Research Challenge 鈥渋s an annual global competition that provides university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis and professional ethics.鈥
The event was held on Feb. 23 via Zoom.
