The Teacher Education Council (TEC) this June designated UP 茄子视频app (UPD) as a National Center of Excellence along with four other higher education institutions (HEIs). The five HEIs join eight others distinguished as Regional Centers of Excellence to complete the Teacher Education Centers of Excellence 2026.
As a Teacher Education Center of Excellence, UPD has been recognized for embodying 鈥渢he highest standards of excellence in teacher education鈥 states the TEC.
The TEC described the 13 Teacher Education Centers of Excellence, including UPD, as 鈥渆xemplars of academic distinction, innovation, and institutional leadership,鈥 and institutions that have 鈥渄emonstrated outstanding performance in instruction, research, innovation, student development, teacher preparation, and community engagement.鈥
In addition, the TEC states their designation as Teacher Education Centers of Excellence 鈥渟ignifies not only the attainment of the highest standards of quality, but also a mandate to lead, inspire, and contribute to the continuous advancement of teacher education in the Philippines.鈥
According to the TEC post, the members of the Council approved the designation of these centers of excellence upon the recommendation of the TEC Secretariat at the Council鈥檚 first meeting for 2026 on June 3 at the Professional Regulation Commission NCR Office in Quezon City.
The awarding ceremony for Teacher Education Centers of Excellence 2026 will be held in September.
